Hi,
can anyone of you create a plugin where you use the Up, Down, Left, Right-arrows to walk?
It would be perfect if there are two modes:
1. Down-looking(ThirdPersonPlugin-style)
2. Behind-looking(AM-Panorama-style)
That would be great!
Thanks.

That's a question better directed at a plugin genius like Shadowhunter. The plugin I'm developing is the Visual Basic Expanded Edition, but KeyGuard strokes are not going to be a part of it. Sorry...
I'm sure somebody will get round to it...

ShadowHunter says, that it would be too much for him. The first point (game like ThirdPersonDemo) is realizeable. But the second one (AM-Panorama) is very difficult. It's something for GM-Support, he says.

Oh... well... what can you do? If Shadowhunter says it's too difficult then I won't be able to do it either. I guess it's up to GMSupport...

Hi,
A couple questions concerning keyboard navigation in Panorama-style games:
1) I guess that pressing the Left and the Right keys allow turning the head left and right, and pressing Up and Down allows looking Up and looking Down, right? So, how to move forward?
2) Since you don't have the cursor feedback like when you use the mouse, how can the player know that it is possible to walk in a certain direction?
3) How to interact with objects?
Thanks,
GM-Support

Walk forward: Up
Walk backward: Down
Turn PERSON left: Left
Turn PERSON right: Right
Looking: With mouse (only AM-Panorama-Style)
The person looks in a direction and you can walk in this direction.
To interact: Tooltip above, click.
Thanks

Oh ok, now I understand. Initially I thought you wanted to use only the keyboard (not the mouse).
Thanks for the clarification,

I don't know yet. I will keep you updated.
p.s. the 3rd person plugin
is now open-source, so if someone knows VB6, he can start implementing it.

I know I'm reviving an old post, but I think I may have found a way of implementing the keyguard functuality with the third person plugin. Problem is it would require a lot of scripting.
I'll shove in it my next update of 100 Visual Basic Techniques...

True, but some may prefer to move the character with the keyboard, or at least have the option to do so...
