Hi All!
Good to see the forums back up and running and so sad that all the old post got lost. Oh well, onward we go
I have been alpha testing my game out on a computer that has not had any games loaded onto it and everytime the game encounters a spot where I have a
scripted sound to play I get an error message. I was wondering if I need to download a Direct X component (DirectPlay??) in order to correct the error.
Thanks,
Skye

Hi Skye,
Welcome back!
What do you mean exactly by scripted sound? How do you play it?

Make sure that the proper "Audio Codec" for the sound format you're trying to playback is loaded on the problem computer.
Would you like to transform your AM project(s) into a more portable & secure package ?
If so, then visit the "AM Transformer" forum here for more information!

It occurs when I use the
PlaySound GetPath (4) + "filename.wav", false
The game returns an Automation Error

PS. I do have the PlaySound subroutine included in the Procedures script
