Burnt Pixel Proudly presents
Christos "Lyberodoggy" Lebessis' first game:
Shooting Field!
The game is a shooter developed with AM, where you can... oh, well.. shoot targets, both moving and immobile ones (immobile targets not ready yet).
Inspired by Sega's Virtua Cop, this game was always one of my priorities and now it finally sees the light of birth.
Enjoy this game, which was developed by complete alternate use of AM.

When I get some time here bud I will have to try this one out.
I like these kind of games to play.
May even see if it plays under wine in Linux |

The game is fun and well presented too. Well done lyberodoggy, great coding. Now we only need a toy gun to go with it.

By the way, while trying it out a second time, I was wandering if the game new when we let targets pass? I mean if we do not on it at all.

The game can know when the target resets w/out being shot. Just a line of additional code. The thing is I didn't want it to become so difficult (The score would decrease dramatically)
I have completed the other mode (Still targets) too, but I haven't had time to upload it...
As for the letter shooting, let me inform you that I made it without hotspot magic, because when I developed it, HS for AM 4 didn't exist, so I had to draw every hotspot separatedly. |

Fantastic game Lyberodoggy.
I really enjoyed testing it out.
A few problems, but no doubt you'll fix them up.

It would help to describe the problems you faced. Other than the way the targets are lifted in the second mode that is. |

Well the one I can remember is that the letter 'H' didn't work (it typed in 'K' instead)...
I was trying to type in 'Chromegloss', but I became 'Ckromegloss', which doesn't look quite as good...
Also, on the name-select screen is there a delete button you can press? I wanted to go back and delete the 'K' but there was no option to do so.
Other than that, nothing that big...

There's a DEL button.
As for the H button, it works fine on my end... |

Oh I didn't see it then...
But the 'H' thing... I'm not sure... I'm sure it kept typing in 'K'.
I dunno, maybe it's just me...

Well done, for me only my logo doesn't fit the whole game. Might be better some simple font words on black background somewhere in the end, not at such an important place I guess a less important info gained a too important place. The game is good, I haven't found any bugs or so.
Keep up the good work,

I like your logo... Okay, maybe too much, but it's so psychendelic and so simple at the same time.
As for the bugs, well, I fixed a major one, causing the game to crush just before the upload.
During tests, I didn't find it, because it was caused by the new Playsound code due to not unloading the mediaplayerobjects used by the targets when they were at first used in name selection.
So I had to load them when the project starts and modify the procedure to not use the LoadControl command. I mention this as a known issue for future projects. |

Nice game!
I just played it for the first time. I like how you did the moving targets. |

Nice game!
The shooting sound comes a bit to late for my opinion, but that doesn't matter |

Nicely done, Lyberodoggy. It worked well on my computer. Apparently I shot the innocents.... I thought they were "special" targets. |

lol
To juhu: Yes I know, but I couldn't get it to trigger in time...
It's due to AM's infrastructure. The engine isn't for such games, so alternatives come at a cost. |
