Need Help With Controlling Sound With VB Code...

Postby 3dgamer » Sat Jan 31, 2009 12:05 am

Okay, I have been able to get a music sound file to play and loop using VB code so that the music continues in the background as the player goes to a different frame and as other sound effects are heard on different channels, when prompted. So that I am happy about.

However, one thing I am noticing is that I cannot find code for actually controlling the music sound file. I've searched the Help pages online but can't seem to locate any. :(

So, I was wondering, is there any VB code that I can use to:

1) Raise and lower the volume
(similar to what is available in the menu option in the Audio tab)

2) Fade the sound (again, similar to the menu option in the Audio tab)

3) Control which sound channel (1-7) I would like the file to play on (again, similar to the menu option in the Audio tab)

If any of these functions are possible with VB code, could someone please post some code so I can see how it is done? I would truly appreciate it!! :)

TIA

Thanks, Lyberodoggy. :) I didn't think of trying EZTalk for music audio as well. I visited his site to read more about that plugin (http://www.shadowhunter.co.uk/index1.html) and it seems that it just might do the trick. So I'll check it out! :)

Cya!
