LP2 Escape Ready for Download!

Postby Lazypookzz » Thu Jul 09, 2009 11:19 pm

Hi, I'm working on a new Lazypookzz game. It will also be an escape game. Not with photo's but with pictures I draw myself. I try to learn Sketchup and I have to admit it is not easy to draw something that looks good.

Here are some examples.

edit: september 5 Posted some new pictures

Edit: october 18 The game is ready for download. Hope you enjoy the game and let me know what you think. Download here. Dutch version will be ready next week.
If you have a problem when you look at the clock, you have the old version. Did not know it was still there. New one is available, see link above!

Wha wha... WHAAT? That is the most amazing 3D artwork I have seen since Stargazer and Zenoc! Is that your rendering of a Stephen King book (I think it says "The Calling Card" or something)? Whoa. Will it be about little Lazzypooks the bear again?
My sig changes more often than Doctor Who (see your national BBC channel) regenarates into new melancholy actors. Oh look, Matt Smith! Gerard Butler! Colin Mochrie! That wolf from Twilight: New Moon!

@ Jaked,

Yes that are Stephen King books (I'm a big fan  ) It is Insomnia, The green mile and Cujo. For the green mile I used a photo on the front cover.
On the picture on the wall you see a photo of the bear with a bobblehead of Stephen King I actually have.

I'm just drawing things I have, the desk you see is where I am sitting now,

Thanks for your nice comments! I don't know about the amazing part, it took me hours today to make the whine bottle

edit: the bear will be in it, but It will take years before I can draw him in Sketchup

Thanks you reneuend, very nice of you.

@ Jaked: your avatar looks a little bit like a SK house  . I think I read almost everything of SK and I collect the US first hardcover prints. And I have a green mile book with my name printed in it, isn't that cool 8)

Cool graphics!
Well, I suggest you try the 360 cubic panorama since you are going for full 3d

Hello Lyberodoggy,

I looked it up and I see that 360 cubic panorama is an AM plugin.

I know just a little bit from AM, is it difficult this plugin? And what does it exactly?

I try to read and learn as much as I can, but already have a hard time making pictures with Sketchup .

And for the technical stuff, sometimes the language barrier makes it even harder. But still have lots of fun

Thanks for your comment

Yeah, I know the problem with the different language terms... anyway
the plugin can take a picture composed of the 6 directions you can see in a room (front, back, right, left,up,down) and turn it to a 3d cube, making it look like a real 3d room. You can check the demos, if any...

Just let you all know I'm still working on my second game. Hope it will be ready in 2 weeks. It is a one room escape but already have more than 100 frames lol

Image

Especially drawing the the props is a lot of work! I thinks I have approximately 20 frames to work on.

lol indeed. The only games I ever make don't need more than 5 frames :P (they're mostly mini-games)

It sounds like a lot of hard work. Judging by your first game, I'm sure this it will be fun. Nice graphics work. I need to learn how to do that 3D stuff some day.

@lyberodoggie....5 frames??? Can you imagine....I could have made already 20 games....
But you made me curious...now want to play one of your minigames :D

@reneuend & mercedes...I should learn some VBScript...but you can't learn everything in a week, is it
And I draw only basic models, I'm sure you can do these too!

This is one of them. The other one was Shooting Field, an arcade target shooter, which you can find in the New Games Announcements

I use SU Podium. Not free, if you want decent-sized renderings, but it's really easy to use.

Very nice game with great pictures! Very nice work!
I was a little confused by the shortcuts to save the game so I had quit the game insteed of saving it.
